We spent a lovely holiday in this holiday home, located in the heart of charming Varenna. We recommend this house and would grant it a rating of 9/10!

We stayed in Ca Livia in Varenna in May 2012 for 2 weeks. This is a fabulous Villa for a holiday in Varenna. The location is perfect and right on the lake – halfway between the main town with its delightful restaurants and cafes and the ferry terminal for access to Bellagio etc all within an easy few minute walk. The train station is within a 10min walk. A day trip to St Moritz on the Bernina Express was a highlight.The Villa Ca Livia has been tastefully renovated which includes a modern lift to take guests & their luggage from road level down to the first level which has 2 bedrooms and further down to another level of living/kitchen (with wood fire). The lift is very handy when it rains as the levels are otherwise accessed by outside steps. All these levels have fabulous balconies overlooking the lake & mountains beyond. A further lower level has a fully equipped laundry and a bed/sitter extra room. Even though the Villa is in the middle of town it is surrounded by the most beautiful gardens – very private and secluded. Access to the town can be either upper entry (road level) or through the garden gate to the lakeside walkway. Everything we needed plus more was provided and if anything was asked for it was cheerfully supplied. The hosts were terrific – a survival kit of sparkling wine, cheese, crackers & breakfast cereal was there for us on arrival. We would love to come back again perhaps with friends – 2 couples could comfortably survive in Ca Livia.

We are staying at Ca´ Livia at the moment. It is the most magnificent house in a stunning location overlooking the Lake. The comment from Roger and Tracey pretty well covers all details. We took advantage of its location and did a day´s skiing at Piani Di Bobbio - quite a nice resort, not too expensive. We would definitely recommend it and will return.Claire and Stephen.

What a wonderful stay we have had a beautiful Ca´Livia. I have dreamed or so long of having "a month by the lake" at Lake Como and now that dream as come true. I had to pinch myself every day as I could hardly believe I was there. The house is very comfortable, the gardens beautiful and the views are spectacular - the little tortoise was also a special surprise.
